OVESCO Eco Home Tours: Open Houses & Gardens - 27 Sept 2025

During September, OVESCO is running Open Eco House events in 4 locations, giving you plenty of opportunities to visit local homes and gardens and learn about the practical, low-carbon improvements homeowners have made from solar panels and heat pumps to wildlife ponds.

We are supporting these Ovesco Eco Home events which allow homeowners to share their experiences and answer questions about what was involved, and the difference it has made to their homes. Hopefully visitors will leave inspired and feeling confident about making similar improvements to their own homes.

The Hassocks and Ditchling Eco Open Home tours take place on 27 September with five properties available to visit. These include:

• a home that has been completely decarbonised and runs solely on electricity

• a nearly zero energy retrofit (NZER or NZEB) that has achieved an A99 EPC rating

• a striking new build house meeting Passivhaus standards

• a home that replaced a broken gas boiler with an air source heat pump and also has a beautiful wildlife garden

• an ongoing retrofit project in a Georgian high street house

It’s free to attend a tour and most homes will be open from 10am-4pm, but some close for lunch and others require booking in advance. Please check the details in the event booklet and make bookings via Eventbrite.
