HASSOCKS COMMUNITY VEG PATCH
Hassocks Community Veg Patch is currently located in the fenced off garden behind Age Concern. With permission to start a growing project there, in 2022 a small group of local residents set about creating some fuit and vegetable beds, a covered shelter with seating and some compost bays. It is a beautiful spot amongst the small orchard of fruit trees.
The 'Patchworkers' meet on the last Saturday morning of every month to coincide with the Hassocks Market, as well as one weekday. In the summer, there is more activity, with more watering required. Anyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the space, and to help out with planting and caring for the Patch.
Our intention is to provide a place for people to work in a garden, learn new gardening skills, enjoy a local community activity, and take home some healthy delicious produce!
