Get ready for energy month! This October Greener Hassocks and Ditchling are holding a number of free events about energy - how to make eco improvements in your home both small and large, how to save money and what the future may bring! There is something for everyone whatever your budget and technical ability.

Below is the programme of events, with info on how to get involved

ENERGY MONTH PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

Tuesday 6th October, 7.30pm - The future electric home

Is the future house already here?

Come and find out Greener Hassocks & Ditchling's free Future Electric Home talk.

We’ll walk you through what an all-electric home can look like, from heat pumps and solar panels to batteries and electric cars, and how these can work together to help cut bills to almost nothing and reduce carbon. We’ll also share how smart energy tariffs could help you earn money instead of paying it (yes, really). Book here

Saturday 10th October Eco Open Houses events

8 homeowners across Hassocks & Dirchling open their doors to show you the eco improvements they havemade and will share their story.

The brochure is here and includes details on how to book through Eventbrite

Saturday 23rd October - Community Energy Pathways will provide energy advice to anyone at the Hassocks Village market

Age Concern Car park 10 - 1 pm

Are you paying too much? If you have ever wanted some help to understand your energy bills or what tariffs might be available this is your change to come along and speak to an expert

Anytime - Borrow our Thermal imaging camera

Thanks to a Hassocks Parish Council grant we now have a FLIR CX Series Thermal imaging camera. You can use this to see where your home is losing heat and to help with prioritising insulation and home improvements.
