We're delighted that Rebecca Rees, from Hurst Rethink's 'Save Our Swifts' project, will be coming to talk to us at our October Climate Hub about how to identify and support swifts and how we can encourage them to nest in our villages.

By identifying where swifts are already nesting in Hassocks, Keymer and Ditchling, and installing swift boxes to support those colonies, we can aim to establish a swift corridor in our area. If you spotted any swifts in the area over the summer please do come along and share your knowledge. Identifying where swifts have nested this year is essential for deciding on the best locations for installing new nesting boxes.

We can't wait to hear about the work being done locally to support these fascinating migratory birds and to find out how we can encourage the local population.

Everyone is welcome, and no booking is required.
