Kidical Mass 12th July 2025 - Final Update

The big day is almost here - less than 24 hours to go until Kidical Mass Hassocks and Ditchling starts!

It's going to be a hot afternoon so we've made a few adjustments to our plans to make things more comfortable for everyone taking part.

Meeting points:

Hassocks: Meet at 1.30pm in Adastra park - we'll have a marquee up in the field adjacent to the playground/tennis courts/bowling green.

Ditchling: Meet at 1.45pm at the Village Green - look out for other folk with bikes!

Things to remember:

Water; suncream; weather-appropriate clothing!

Hot weather adjustments

In response to the hot weather; we will have:

• Shortened route options (3.2 miles or 3.7 miles depending on conditions)

• Extra water at start and finish

• A water break in Ditchling

• Lovely shady places to gather in Adastra Park and Ditchling

Below is a picture of the 3.7 mile route - the Hassocks start and finish point is in black.

We'll go down Orchard Lane on to Keymer Rd (B2116) and head up to Ditchling Green to meet up with the cyclists starting from Ditchling. Next we'll return down Keymer Rd, and continue all the way up to the little roundabout near the station before turning right down Woodsland Rd. We'll go all the way down to the end, cross the stream, then pick up Oak Tree Drive until we briefly join Mackie Avenue, before turning right onto Grand Avenue to get back to Orchard Lane and Adastra Park.
