About the event
Golf courses sometimes have a reputation for being bad for the environment, but the groundskeeper at Pyecombe is working hard to ensure their course is anything but. Join us for this fascinating and enlightening tour of parts of the golf course that aren’t normally accessible to the public and find out how the land is being managed to work in harmony with its chalk grassland setting. Last year the course received national news attention for their work to increase biodiversity and encourage wildflowers, and their success in attracting several rare species of butterflies to the course. Come along and learn about their secrets for creating such a rich and beautiful wildlife habitat.
Meet at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start at Pyecombe Golf Course, Clayton Hill, BN45 7FF. This is a free event, and no booking is required. NB The walk will go ahead whatever the weather, so please dress appropriately. If you have any questions contact us at greenerhassocksditchling@gmail.com
